Spending time with family this summer and loving it!

Before Ashley and Jordyn left Seattle my mom and I were able to spend one last day with them. We went to the Seattle Aquarium on a beautiful sunny day.
Ashley is going to Afghanistan on July 22nd and will be gone for about 7 months so it was great to spend the extra time with her (and see Jordyn some more!)

A week earlier we were down on the waterfront and Ashley saw this onesie. We thought it was pretty cute. This trip down there she was on a mission to get it for us!
It says "Surrender the Booby".
This is also when I was telling Jordyn she's going to have another cousin at the end of the year!
She was pretty happy about the news. ;-)

I think if we let her, Jordyn would have spent an hour playing with the water!

For being 15 months old and a little tired - Jordyn did very well.

While my mom and Ashley were finishing up their lunch at Ivars (thank you Ashley!) I took Jordyn outside to getting a closer look at the seagulls. I was signing "bird" to her.

She is SO cute!!!

** Moving on to the 4th of July weekend. **
Owen, my 7 year old nephew (Ally, my other sister) got to spend the long weekend with Nick and I up at LCP! It was the first time we had him up there and we had a blast. There were 3 other boys his age up there and they were very busy!

(L -R) Dizzle (8), Owen (7), Joey (5) and Chevi (5).
Notice how Owen's cheeks are a little red.. that's because they had been running back and forth to the park down the way! They were also playing a little bit of Wii at Barb and Tim's trailer in this picture. (Barb and Tim are Dizzle's grandparents).

Pool time - finally!! Owen was very patient about going swimming. The weather this weekend was not in our favor.. it was in the 60's the whole time. The sun broke out a little bit on Sunday night and we were able to get some pool time in!

If you go camping, you've got to have glow sticks!! Owen, Joey and Amelia played "light sabers" with them. haha!!

What's camping without smores?!?! We had a nice fire going and Owen really enjoyed his!

Yay for some much needed LCP time.
Time for the baby update: Sorry for the long post.. I didn't post last week!
We are now in our 17th week! My morning sickness is going away but still shows up about every 3-4 days. This week 3 different customers at my work asked me if I was pregnant or when my due date was.. so it's official, I'm showing! (will post a belly shot next week).
Crown to rump legth is about 4 1/2 - 4 3/4 inches. It weighs about 3 1/2 ounces.
Fat is begining to form on the baby for protection and heat after he or she is born. The finger and toenails are well formed at this point.
I felt the baby move for the first time last week when I was at work. It felt like bubbles.
I've been VERY forgetful to the point where I will ask Nick the same question up to 3 times before I have a feeling that I've already asked him. He's been wonderful and has been good about all of my forgetfulness, desires for food and need of sleep!!
Boy or Girl? Nick's vote is a boy. Mine is a girl. We're both bringing $50 with us to the ultrasound.. the winner walks away with $50. Either way we are going to be EXCITED to know what we are having!!! Our theme for the baby's room is going to be zoo animals.

  1. It looks like you've been having a great time with your family.

I can't wait to see the belly pics! I love the idea of a zoo animal theme. Could be very colorful and gender neutral.

I can't wait for more posts!
