It's LCP, yo!

LCP stands for Lake Connor Park. It's a private campground where Nick and I bought a piece of property last year because we enjoyed camping with Shannon and Ryan on their lot. Eventually, the lot next to theirs came up for sale! LCP is up in Lake Stevens, just about a half hour away from where we live now.

This is our lot. Cute, huh? We have a 1993 Komfort 5th wheel and a very big maple tree that the kids love to climb on and it loves to drops thousands of leaves during the fall.
Here is Shannon and Ryan's lot. See the shed? Yup, It's cougar colors. Ryan's a cougs fan and Nick is a husky fan.
So looking at this picture, to the left of Ryan's shed is our lot. In front of Ryan's truck is Luke and Monika's lot and their new 5th wheel. Needless to say, it's tons of fun to hang out here on the weekends and during the summer. The lake
(fishing only) gets filled by the park with trout during the year. They take the recycled pop/beer cans in for $$ and buy the trout. The park is very large. A few hundred campsites, maybe? There are 3 pools, clubhouses and bathrooms with warm showers!

Here's the inside of our trailer. On the opposite side is the queen bed, bathroom and closet. No, I didn't put the curtains up. They came with the trailer. It feels like our second home.

Cheesy, but cute.

Courtnae (8) and Lukas (10). Luke Sr. and Monika's kids.

Joey (4). Ryan and Shannon's oldest.

Amelia (16 months). Ryan and Shannon's youngest. Notice the butterfly on her shirt? I got her that for her b-day! Love the pigtails too!! Oh.. and this is at the playground just down the way from our lots. Comes in handy when the kids need to burn off some energy.

This is Fred. One of Monika's little nic-nack things that she has on her lot. She's the one that has the green thumb and is making her lot super cute with plants and flowers.

Chester has this tunnel that he loves. A few mornings ago, I was walking by and didn't notice that he was hiding in it. He JUMPED out at me to attack my leg. Boy, it scared me! I screamed and then chased after him. He's done it a few times since then. I'm starting to think that he thinks it's really funny.

I tried something new!

So Nick and I got a KitchenAid mixer as a wedding gift and I've been able to use it since we moved into our new home. I love it! I can make something in minutes and it makes baking so easy. Almost too easy.

I can't really explain why, but I have been wanting to make biscotti. I've never made it before so I was a bit nervous, but it turned out great! Vanilla flavoring, with chopped up almonds and some orange zest. Needless to say, I am really looking forward to my morning coffee tomorrow.
So the grey blanket that Chester is laying on is usally in my car, but a friend needed to borrow it last week and I washed it today. Chester has been laying/sleeping on it since I put it there this afternoon. We're not sure what it is about a blanket on the dryer that he likes so much but it is the first time that we have had one on there. ooohhh... Chester!

Gosh, it's only 14 inches!

So before our wedding I talked a lot about getting my hair cut short even before we left for our honeymoon on Monday evenning (our wedding was on a Saturday night). Well almost 6 months later I did it! YAY!! My favorite hairdresser in the world, Kim, who also did my hair for the wedding, cut off 14 inches of my hair and added some bangs to go with it! It feels wonderful and so incredibly healthy.

Chester didn't even recognize me at first! See how big his eyes are?

The painting (print) behind me is one of Nick's favorites. His parents gave it to us when we moved into our new home. Thanks Mike and Sue!

Here's a before picture of my hair or the most recent one we had. Nick, his brother Tim and nephew Ethan went and visted their Grandpa Chub on his 87th birthday on May 10th. Chub is Mike's dad. =) Every time we visit him I love to ask him if he ate his greenbeans for dinner because he hates them so much! One of his favorite kinds of pie is a raisin pie! I've never had one before, but Chub is from Southern Illinois.. must be something from around there.

Ahhh Chester! Are you kidding? Did you really think I would post something on my blog and not include a picture of our awesome cat!?! Come on! We don't have kids yet, so the next best thing is to post pictures of our cat. HAHA!!

Our cat Chester. (Yes, he always has his bandana on!). He was pretty freaked out for the first couple of days but now his is loving the linoleum floors!!
Kinda cheesy - but here are our newlywed teddy bears. ahhh!

A house is not a home until you have pictures and magnets on the fridge!

Here's a picture of the cozy little house where we live.

Hello everyone!

Okay, so the time has come for Nick and I to join the blogger world. My 2 sisters - Niki and Ashley have inspired me to start a blog becuase I really enjoy reading and seeing the pictures that they post weekly. I have to say that I check their blogs at least 3 times a week and have been very disappointed if they have not updated theirs for over a week!

Nick and I got married November 1st, 2008 and at the time were living with 2 roommates - Lesley and Julia in a 4 bedroom house in Shoreline. On April 1st Nick and I moved into a rental house up in Lynnwood. It's a cute 3 bedroom, 1962 house and I love it!! Since we have moved in it's been like we're on our honeymoon all over again. I've really learned to enjoy the small things during eachday such as having the time to sit down and eat breakfast together or making a meal together.. and the list goes on. Well.. come to think about it, maybe this has something to do with the fact that we have not had cable since we moved in! Just kidding, we got it the other day and it's been wonderful. Nick stayed up until midnight watching tv. Too funny.

I'm going to post a few pictures of our new little home and I really hope you all enjoy our blog! I made a promise to myself that I would post at least once a week, even if it is about something small and silly.

=)
